What is a latency disease?

Writer's picture: Asbestos Shorts by Matt Asbestos Shorts by Matt

Asbestos diseases, all of them, are long latency diseases. This means the disease does not manifest, on average, for decades after the asbestos exposure that caused the disease. Most of my clients worked with asbestos or were exposed to it in the 1950s, '60s or '70s.

Do not think your ability to file an asbestos disease lawsuit is long gone just because you were exposed multiple decades ago.
